Gutter relining is becoming increasingly popular as a cheaper and highly effective alternative to replacing ageing roofline drainage systems.
It works by coating your existing gutters in with a watertight rubber membrane, effectively re-sealing them from the insides.
There are several materials and techniques available to achieve a successful replacement lining, with the most popular being EPDM (that’s short for ethylene propylene diene monomer if you were wondering).
EPDM is also common on flat roofing, that’s to its properties that make it very long lasting – especially when exposed to the sun every day.
UV light and heat in the summer can degrade some materials quickly, so the fact that it creates a water proof layer that’s resistant to the elements makes it a great choice.
